A lamp of resistance 20 Ω and a conductor of resistance 8 Ω are connected with a battery of 8 V in series. Calculate the :

7. आपने पर्यावरण को बचाने के लिए तीन प्रकार के ‘R’ के विषय में तो अवश्य सुना होगा :

कम उपयोग (Reduce), पुनः चक्रण (Recycle) और पुनः उपयोग (Reuse)। “कम उपयोग” का वर्णन विस्तार से करें।
You must have come across the three ‘R’s to save the environment :
Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. Explain Reduce in detail.

8. (a) लेंस की क्षमता क्या होती है ? किसी लेंस की एक डायोप्टर (1D) क्षमता को परिभाषित कीजिए।

What is power of a Lens ? Define one Dioptre (1D) power of a lens.

(b) कोई वस्तु अवतल दर्पण के वक्रता केन्द्र (c) पर स्थित है। उस वस्तु के प्रतिबिम्ब की स्थिति, साइज़ तथा प्रकृति का चित्र बनाइये।

9. एक प्रत्यावर्ती विद्युत धारा (a. c.) जनित्र के सिद्धान्त, संरचना तथा कार्यविधि का विस्तृत वर्णन कीजिए।

Explain in detail, the principle, construction and working of an alternating current (a.c.) generator, in detail.

(b) परिनालिका से आपका क्या अभिप्राय है ? एक परिनालिका में प्रवाहित विद्युत धारा के कारण चुम्बकीय क्षेत्र को आरेखित कीजिए। परिनालिका के उपयोग पर भी प्रकाश डालिए।
What is a Solenoid ? Draw the magnetic lines of force around a current carrying solenoid. Also throw some light on the use of solenoid.
