सामान्य निर्देश :
General Instruction :

(i) सभी प्रश्न अनिवार्य हैं।
All questions are compulsory.

(ii) इस प्रश्न-पत्र में कुल तीन खण्ड हैं, जो कि इस प्रकार बाँटे गये हैं :
This question paper consists of three Sections which are divided as :

खण्ड अ : इस खण्ड में 1 से 5 तक कुल 5 प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक प्रश्न 2 अंक का है।
Section A : This Section consists of 5 questions from 1 to 5, each of 2 marks.

खण्ड ब : इस खण्ड में 6 से 10 तक कुल 5 प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक प्रश्न 3 अंक का है।
Section B : This Section consists of 5 questions from 6 to 10, each of 3 marks.

खण्ड स : इस खण्ड में 11 से 13 तक कुल 3 प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक प्रश्न 5 अंक का है।
Section C : This Section consists of 3 questions from 11 to 13, each of 5 marks.

(iii) खण्ड स के सभी प्रश्नों में आन्तरिक विकल्प दिये गये हैं। इनमें से केवल एक प्रश्न ही चुनना है।
There are internal choices are given in all questions of Section C. But you have to opt only one of them.

SECTION – A

1. ऐसी दो संख्याएँ ज्ञात कीजिए, जिनका योग 27 हो और गुणनफल 182 हो।

Find two positive numbers whose sum is 27 and product is 182.

2. बिन्दु A के निर्देशांक ज्ञात कीजिए जहाँ AB एक वृत्त का व्यास है, जिसका केन्द्र (2, –3) है तथा B के निर्देशांक (1, 4) हैं।

Find the co-ordinates of a point A where AB is the diameter of a circle whose centre is (2, –3) and co-ordinates of B is (1, 4).

3. मान ज्ञात कीजिए :

\[\frac{5\cos^{2}60^{\circ}+4\sec^{2}30^{\circ}-\tan^{2}45^{\circ}}{\sin^{2}30^{\circ}+\cos^{2}30^{\circ}}\]

Evaluate :

\[\frac{5\cos^{2}60^{\circ}+4\sec^{2}30^{\circ}-\tan^{2}45^{\circ}}{\sin^{2}30^{\circ}+\cos^{2}30^{\circ}}\]

4. जमीन के नीचे पानी का एक तालाब है जो कि घनाभ के आकार का है, जिसकी भुजाएँ 48 मी, 36 मी एवं 28 मी हैं। इसका आयतन ज्ञात कीजिए।

An underground water tank is in the form of a cuboid of edges 48 m, 36 m and 28 m. Find the volume of the tank.

5. एक थैले में 3 लाल और 5 काली गेंदें हैं। इस थैले में से एक गेंद यादृच्छया निकाली जाती है। इसकी प्रायिकता क्या है कि गेंद (i) लाल हो, (ii) लाल नहीं हो ?

A bag contains 3 red balls and 5 black balls. A ball is drawn at random from the bag. What is the probability that the ball drawn is (i) red (ii) not red ?

SECTION – B

6. यदि किसी भिन्न के अंश और हर दोनों में 2 जोड़ दिया जाए, तो वह \(\frac{9}{11}\) हो जाती है। यदि अंश और हर दोनों में 3 जोड़ दिया जाए, तो वह \(\frac{5}{6}\) हो जाती है। वह भिन्न ज्ञात कीजिए।

A fraction becomes \(\frac{9}{11}\), if 2 is added to both the numerator and the denominator. If 3 is added to both the numerator and the denominator, it becomes \(\frac{5}{6}\). Find the fraction.

7. उस A. P. का 31वाँ पद ज्ञात कीजिए जिसका 11वाँ पद 38 है और 16वाँ पद 73 है।

Find the 31st term of an A. P. whose 11th term is 38 and 16th term is 73.

8. एक सीढ़ी किसी दीवार पर इस प्रकार टिकी हुई है कि इसका निचला सिरा दीवार से 2.5 मीटर की दूरी पर है तथा इसका ऊपरी सिरा भूमि से 6 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर बनी एक खिड़की तक पहुँचता है। सीढ़ी की लम्बाई ज्ञात कीजिए।

A ladder is placed against a wall such that its foot is at a distance of 2.5m from the wall and its top reaches a window 6m above the ground. Find the length of the ladder.

9. जैसा कि चित्र में दिखाया गया है, छायांकित क्षेत्र का क्षेत्रफल ज्ञात कीजिए जहाँ वर्ग ABCD की प्रत्येक भुजा 14 सेमी है।

Find the area of the shaded region as shown in figure where ABCD is a square of side 14 cm.

10. निम्न सारणी की माध्यिका ज्ञात कीजिए :

11. निम्न समीकरणों के युग्म को रैखिक समीकरणों के युग्म में बदलकर हल कीजिए :

\[\frac{5}{x-1}+\frac{1}{y-2}=2\] तथा \[\frac{6}{x-1}-\frac{3}{y-2}=1\]

Solve the following pair of equations by reducing them to a pair of linear equations :

\[\frac{5}{x-1}+\frac{1}{y-2}=2\] and \[\frac{6}{x-1}-\frac{3}{y-2}=1\]

अथवा
OR

पाँच वर्ष पूर्व नूरी की आयु सोनू की आयु की तीन गुनी थी। दस वर्ष पश्चात् नूरी की आयु सोनू की आयु की दो गुनी हो जाएगी। नूरी और सोनू की वर्तमान आयु कितनी है ?
Five years ago, Nuri was thrice as old as Sonu. Ten years later, Nuri will be twice as old as Sonu. How old are Nuri and Sonu ?

12. 5 सेमी त्रिज्या के एक वृत्त पर ऐसी दो स्पर्श-रेखाएँ खींचिए जो परस्पर \(60^\circ\) के कोण पर मिलती हों तथा रचना के पद लिखिए।

Draw a pair of tangents to a circle of radius 5 cm which are inclined to each other at an angle of \(60^\circ\) and write steps of construction.

अथवा
OR

केन्द्र O वाले वृत्त पर बाह्य बिन्दु T से दो स्पर्श-रेखाएँ TP तथा TQ खींची गई हैं। सिद्ध कीजिए कि \(\angle PTQ = 2 \angle OPQ\) है।
Two tangents TP and TQ are drawn to a circle with centre O from an external point T. Prove that \(\angle PTQ = 2 \angle OPQ\).

13. एक समतल जमीन पर खड़ी मीनार की छाया उस स्थिति में 40 मीटर अधिक लम्बी हो जाती है जबकि सूर्य का उन्नतांश \(60^\circ\) से घटकर \(30^\circ\) हो जाता है। मीनार की ऊँचाई ज्ञात कीजिए।

The shadow of a tower standing on a level ground is found to be 40 m longer when the Sun's altitude is \(30^\circ\) than when it is \(60^\circ\). Find the height of the tower.

अथवा
OR

भूमि के एक बिन्दु से, जो मीनार के पाद-बिन्दु से 30 मीटर की दूरी पर है, मीनार के शिखर का उन्नयन कोण \(30^\circ\) है। मीनार की ऊँचाई ज्ञात कीजिए।
The angle of elevation of the top of a tower from a point on the ground, which is 30 m away from the foot of the tower, is \(30^\circ\). Find the height of the tower.
