Out of first four questions, answer any three of
them. Each has four marks.
1. मिट्टी की फसल उत्पादन में क्या भूमिका है ? भूमि की उपजाऊ
ताकत किस प्रकार बढ़ाई जा सकती है ?
What is the role of soil in crop production ? How
to increase soil fertility ?
2. चावल की खेती के बारे में लिखिए, इसकी क्या महत्ता है ? चावल
को किस प्रकार खाने योग्य बनाया जाता है और इसको किस
प्रकार प्रयोग में लाया जाता है ?
Write about paddy cultivation, its importance.
How it is processed and consumed ?
3. हरियाणा में पैदा होने वाले फलों के नाम बताएँ। रबी और खरीफ
की सब्जियों के भी नाम बताएँ।
Name the fruit plants grown in Haryana. Which
are the kharif and rabi vegetables.
4. कोई चार ऐसे कारण बताएँ जिनसे खाद्यान्न के उत्पादन पर प्रभाव
पड़ता है। इनके बारे में संक्षिप्त नोट भी लिखें।
Name any four factors which are affecting the
food grain production. Briefly write about them.
5. निम्नलिखित सात प्रश्नों में से किन्हीं छः के उत्तर दीजिए। प्रत्येक
प्रश्न के 3 अंक हैं :

Answer any six questions out of the following
seven. Each question carries 3 marks :
(i) अरसायनिक (आर्गेनिक) खेती क्या है ? यह किस प्रकार लोगों
को लाभदायक है ?
What is organic farming ? How it is useful
to the consumers ?
(ii) नहर द्वारा सिंचाई पर एक नोट लिखें।
Write a note on canal irrigation.
(iii) संक्षेप में खरपतवार पर नियंत्रण करने के किसी एक तरीके
पर नोट लिखें।
Write in brief on any one method of weed
control.
(iv) किन्हीं छः मुख्य खादों के नाम लिखें।
Name the main fertilizers (at least six).
(v) अचार बनाने पर एक संक्षिप्त नोट लिखें। उन सब्जियों के
नाम भी बताएँ जो अचार बनाने में काम आती हैं।
Write a short note on pickle making. Also
name the vegetables used in the pickle
making.
(vi) तिलहन फसलों के नाम बताएँ। किसी एक पर संक्षिप्त नोट
भी लिखें।
Which are the oil seed crops. Write short
note on any one of the oil seed crops.
(vii) वर्षा के पानी को इकट्ठा करना क्या है ? वर्षा का पानी
कुछ सालों से नीचे क्यों जा रहा है ?
What is rain water harvesting ? Why
recharging is becoming less and less over
the years.
6. निम्नलिखित दस प्रश्नों में से किन्हीं नौ के उत्तर दीजिए। प्रत्येक
प्रश्न के 2 अंक हैं :

(i) सिंचाई के किन्हीं चार तरीकों के नाम लिखें।
Name any four methods of irrigation.
(ii) देशी खाद क्या है ? यह किस प्रयोग में लायी जाती है ?
What is Farm Yard Manure (FYM) ? How it
is used ?
(iii) निकास क्यों आवश्यक है ?
Why drainage is required ?
(iv) गन्ने की दो किस्मों के नाम लिखें।
Name two varieties of sugarcane.
(v) पौधा रुपाई क्या है ?
What is transplanting ?
(vi) फसल अवशेष जलाने से हानियों के नाम बताएँ।
Name the harmful effects of crop residue
burning.
(vii) खरपतवार नियंत्रण करने वाले उपकरणों के नाम बताएँ।
Name the tools used for weed control.
(viii) मल्चिंग (ढकना) क्या है ?
What is mulching ?
(ix) फलों की प्रोसेसिंग करने में क्या-क्या प्रक्रिया होती हैं ?
Name the steps used for processing of
fruits.
(x) फल क्यों खराब होते हैं ?
Why there is wastage of fruits ?
7. नीचे दिए गए तेरह प्रश्नों में से किन्हीं बारह का उत्तर केवल सही
या गलत में दें। प्रत्येक प्रश्न एक अंक का है :

Do any twelve questions out of thirteen given
below. Each has one mark. Answer only as
right or wrong :
(i) भारतवर्ष विश्व में एक मुख्य खाद्यान्न पैदा करने वाला देश
है।
India is one of the top food grain growing
country in the world.
(ii) भारतवर्ष में खाद्यान्न अधिक खराब नहीं होते हैं।
Wastage of grains is not very high in India.
(iii) आलू का बीज भारतवर्ष में कहीं भी बनाया जा सकता है।
Potato seed can be prepared anywhere in
India.
(iv) अच्छी मिट्टी के लिए पी0 एच0 सात के आस-पास होनी
चाहिए।
For good soil pH should be near seven.
(v) हरियाणा में लवणीय (सलाइन) भूमि की कोई समस्या नहीं
है।
There is no salinity problem of soil in
Haryana.
(vi) भारतवर्ष में कुछ समय से फल की खपत बढ़ रही है।
Consumption of fruits is picking up in
India.
(vii) हरियाणा एक मुख्य गेहूँ पैदा करने वाला राज्य है।
Haryana is main wheat producing state.
(viii) खरपतवार फसल उत्पादन में लाभदायक है।
Weeds are useful in crop production.
(ix) भारतवर्ष तिलहन आयात करता है।
India is importing oil seeds.
(x) पानी का रिसाव (रिचार्ज) रेतीली मिट्टी में अधिक होता है।
Water recharge is more rapid in sandy soil.
(xi) नदियाँ निकास नली का कार्य नहीं करती हैं।
Rivers are also working as drains.
(xii) हरियाणा के कुछ भागों में भू-जल स्तर ऊपर आ रहा है।
Ground water level is going up in some
parts of Haryana.
(xiii) डी0 ए0 पी0 से केवल फॉस्फोरस मिलता है।
