Answer any three questions from Question Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Each question carries 4 marks.
(ii) प्रश्न संख्या 5, 6 एवं 7 के उत्तर निर्देशानुसार दें।
Answer the Question Nos. 5, 6 and 7 according to their instructions.

1. खाद्यान्न फसलों के नाम बताइए और गेहूँ के ऊपर एक संक्षिप्त नोट भी लिखें।
Name the food grain crops and also write a brief note on wheat crop.

2. आलू की फसल के बारे में लिखें जिसमें मुख्य किस्में, बोने का समय तथा बोने का तरीका और आलू की फसल पकने का समय भी लिखें।
Write about the potato crop, its main varieties, sowing time and its method, and harvesting time.

3. देशी खाद के बारे में लिखें और जीवाणु खाद पर भी नोट लिखें।
Write about Farm Yard manures and also write a note on bio fertilizers.

4. खरपतवार को नियंत्रित करने के तरीकों के नाम लिखें तथा इसके मशीनी तरीकों के बारे में भी लिखें।
Which are the methods of weed control also tell in brief about mechanical method of weed control.

5. निम्नलिखित सात प्रश्नों में से किन्हीं छ: प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए। प्रत्येक प्रश्न के 3 अंक हैं : 6 × 3 = 18
Answer any six questions out of the following seven. Each question carries 3 marks :

(i) सिंचाई के तरीकों के नाम बताइए तथा सिंचाई का कौन-सा तरीका अधिक अच्छा है और क्यों ?
Name the methods of irrigation and which method is more efficient and how ?

(ii) भूमि परीक्षण पर एक संक्षिप्त नोट लिखें।
Write a short note on soil testing.

(iii) कौन-सी फसल के अवशेष जलाने से वायुमंडल की हवा प्रदूषित होती है तथा इसके प्रकोप को किस प्रकार कम किया जा सकता है ?
Which crop is more responsible at present for pollution due to stubble burning and how to reduce its effect on pollution ?

(iv) रसोई बागवानी (किचन गार्डनिंग) का संक्षिप्त विवरण दीजिए।
Write in brief on Kitchen gardening.

(v) भारतवर्ष में पैदा होने वाली व्यावसायिक फसलों के नाम लिखें तथा गन्ने की प्रोसेसिंग पर एक संक्षिप्त नोट लिखें।
Name the commercial crops in India and write a short note on sugarcane processing.

(vi) उन सब्जियों तथा फलों के नाम बताइए जो विटामिन ‘सी’ के मुख्य स्रोत हैं।
Name the main fruits and vegetables crops which are rich in Vitamin 'C'.

(vii) खरपतवार का नियंत्रण क्यों आवश्यक है तथा मुख्य खरपतवार का नाम बताइए जो नहर, निकास नली, सड़कों तथा रेल लाइन के आस-पास पाया जाता है ?
Why weed control is required and which is the weed found along the drains, railway lines, roads and waste lands ?

6. निम्नलिखित दस प्रश्नों में से किन्हीं नौ प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए। प्रत्येक प्रश्न के 2 अंक हैं : 9 × 2 = 18
Answer any nine questions out of the following ten. Each question carries 2 marks :

(i) भूमि कटाव क्या है ?
What is soil erosion ?

(ii) आम की कोई चार किस्मों के नाम बताइए।
Name any four types of mangoes.

(iii) किन्हीं चार सब्जियों के नाम बताइए जो बेल पर लगती हैं।
Write any four vegetables grown as vines.

(iv) गेहूँ पैदा करने वाले मुख्य चार राज्यों के नाम लिखें।
Name the main four wheat growing states.

(v) नहर सिंचाई की कोई चार चीजों के नाम लिखें।
Write four items related to canal irrigation.

(vi) निकास नली बनाने का क्या उद्देश्य है ?
What is the purpose of making a drain ?

(vii) हरियाणा की किन्हीं चार जगहों के नाम बताइए जहाँ शुगर मिल (गन्ना उद्योग) अधिक स्थित है।
Name any four places where sugar mills are located in Haryana.

(viii) किन्हीं चार मुख्य रासायनिक खादों के नाम बताइए।
Name any four popular chemical fertilizers.

(ix) वह कौन-सी चार मुख्य सब्जियाँ हैं, जो प्रोटेक्टिव वातावरण में उगाई जाती हैं ?
Which are four main vegetables grown in protected houses ?

(x) हरियाणा के कौन-से चार जिले हैं, जहाँ शुष्क खेती होती है ?
Which are the main four dry land districts of Haryana ?

7. निम्नलिखित तेरह प्रश्नों में से किन्हीं बारह के उत्तर दीजिए। प्रत्येक प्रश्न एक अंक का है, उत्तर केवल हाँ या नहीं में दें : 12 × 1 = 12
Attempt any twelve questions out of thirteen given below. Each has one mark, answer be given as Yes or No :

(i) भारतवर्ष विश्व में एक शीर्ष खाद्यान्न उत्पादन करने वाला देश है।
India is one of the top food grain producing country in the world.

(ii) धान की खेती भारत में कहीं न कहीं पूरे वर्ष की जाती है।
Paddy is grown through the year in one or other part of the India.

(iii) डाई अमोनिया फॉस्फेट में नाइट्रोजन की मात्रा नहीं होती है।
Di Ammonia Phosphate (DAP) does not have nitrogen.

(iv) नमक वाली भूमि हरियाणा में नहीं पाई जाती है।
Salt affected soils are not found in Haryana.

(v) कुछ खरपतवार चारे के तौर पर भी प्रयोग होते हैं।
Some weeds are also used as fodder.

(vi) बासमती धान हरियाणा में भी उगाई जाती है।
Basmati type rice is grown in Haryana.

(vii) चीकू की खेती हरियाणा में नहीं की जाती है।
Chikoos are not cultivated in Haryana.

(viii) गुजरात मूँगफली खेती के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।
Gujarat is famous for groundnut cultivation.

(ix) टमाटर को प्रोसेस नहीं किया जा सकता है।
Tomatoes cannot be processed.

(x) फलों का खराब होना भारत में बहुत अधिक है।
Wastage of fruits are very much in India.

(xi) फलों की खपत आजकल बढ़ रही है।
Fruit consumption is increasing since past few years.

(xii) भारत में कोई भी फूड प्रोसेसिंग संस्था नहीं है।
There is no food processing institutions in India.

(xiii) निकास नली निचले क्षेत्रों से पानी निकालने के लिए उपयोगी है।
Drains are very useful for draining out water from low lying areas.
